Our Umbrella Theatre adventure began, when we found that a huge amount of children could not access some of our most beloved stories and songs in the traditional way. As actors we know the powerful effect of story telling on an audience. As teachers we see its amazing benefits in a classroom. 




Therefore in 2020, we decided to go on a mission to create theatre, tailor-made for children for whom we feel the arts had to reach. Developing our tales and stories within the setting of an East London primary school with autism provision, we quickly saw the extraordinary and profound magic this way of performing could have on children with a whole range of needs.



We combined a unique blend of professional performing experience, with hours of study into what is needed to engage children, to create Umbrella Theatre Productions.
