About Us

The Umbrella Story
Umbrella Theatre began with a mission to make stories and songs accessible to all children, especially those who struggle with traditional formats. As actors, we know the power of storytelling, and as teachers, we see its impact in the classroom. In 2020, we set out to create theatre tailored for children who needed it most. Developing our performances in an East London primary school with autism provision, we witnessed the profound effect this approach had on children with diverse needs. By combining professional acting experience with dedicated research, we created Umbrella Theatre Productions.
